The most strenuous experience during my time in Germany was visiting the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. The air around this place is thin and there is a presence there that isn’t describable.

Amsterdam: The City of Canals and Red Lights

By day the gorgeous capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam, is filled with the ceaseless ringing of bike bells and faint hints of Marijuana in the crisp air. The roads are ruled by bicycles and if you aren’t paying attention to where you’re walking you will get hit by one and it will be your fault.

The Berlin Wall

 

Berlin has to be one of the most historically moving locations I have ever been to. Being in front of this now deteriorating wall really gives you the sense of reality that thousands of people went through when they woke up in August 1961. Being totally cut off from east to west and not having the privilege to move freely from one side of the city to another really makes you appreciate the freedom we have in the United States.
